Hello and welcome to The Fan Sites Network! My name is Gertie and I am the founder of this hosting service. Here is a little background about The Fan Sites Network and why we exist:

I stared my first webpage* in 1997 on a GeoCities account with my WebTV. The topic was Fan Fiction and the subject was The X-Files. I starting in the hosting business by hosting fellow X-Files fans for free in 1999 after I bought my first dedicated server (a Sun Cobalt RAQ which they don”t even make anymore). I then moved to hosting FanListings in exchange for a commission link to Amazon.com to help pay for that trusty RAQ. Shortly after, Fan-Sites.org was started to host fan sites for Webmasters who did not have the means to host themselves. The Network has grown to host over 700 sites and house 18 dedicated servers. I”m a celebrity junkie, through and through and my Mom always said to me, “Do what you love and the rest will come.” So I did just that. Made celebrity fan sites my business! In 2008 we partnered with the folks at Buzznet and Celebuzz in an effort to offer our Webmasters more advanced services.

I hope the above gives you a better idea about me and why The Fan Sites Network exists. The Fan-Sites.org Network is well into it’s 8th year and I am still loving every minute of running it. We now have a staff of three that includes Luciana and Annie who help with the day-to-day operation of running this large network.
