Here's where you can find a complete timeline of Jack/Kate moments by episode, so enjoy! If I've missed anything, please let me know!

1x01 - "Pilot, Pt.1"
Jack stumbles out of the jungle, takes off his shirt and looks at the gaping wound on his side. He sees Kate in the jungle, and begs her to sew it up for him. She tries to tell him she can't at first, but he encourages her and she finally agrees. They talk about fear, and Jack teaches her his technique of counting to five to let the fear in, and that's all. Kate stitches him up, and they connect. So it begins. Whee!

Jack and Kate talk about finding a transceiver in the cockpit somewhere in the jungle, Kate says she saw some smoke and will go with him when they check it out. They introduce themselves as Jack and Kate. Yay.

The monster eats the pilot in the jungle; Kate, Jack and Charlie take off running and everyone gets separated. Kate and Charlie eventually find Jack, and they do the not-hug of tv characters where they stand really close to each other (thank you, Dan Kwa! ;).

1x02 - "Pilot, Pt.2"
Kate is going on the hike, and Jack ain't stopping her. Bwah.

1x03 - "Tabula Rasa"
Jack is tending to the marshall, who keeps babbling about "She's dangerous", etc., and he demands Jack look in his jacket pocket. Jack pulls out a piece of paper with Kate's mug shots on them.

Kate comes back from the hike and is standing with the group as Sayid addresses them. She sees Jack walking over with Hurley, and she leaves the group to come over to him as Hurley walks over to the group. She gives him an incredibly cute shy smile and they exchange hello's. They seem happy to see each other, and she says she has something to tell him. Jack agrees and we cut to the two of them walking side by side on the beach. She tells him the truth about the transmission and why it wouldn't work, rather than the version Sayid gives the group. He takes it all in, then asks if that's all. She asks how the marshall is doing, and if he's said anything when he woke up. Jack says no, and the silence becomes uncomfortable. Jack seems disappointed, and Kate trying to appear natural.

Kate is visiting the marshall, who wakes up and starts choking up her. Jack walks in and saves her, then gets angry and leaves to get him water. Rain is pouring down as she follows after him and they argue about putting the marshall out of his misery, since he won't die a slow death, but he will definitely die. He tells her he saw her mug shot, and he isn't a murderer, then stalks off, leaving her alone in the rain.

Jack is sitting alone on the beach, thinking, when Kate walks up and sits down next to him. They are quiet for a moment, then Kate says she wants to tell him what she did; why the marshall was after her. Jack says he doesn't want to know. He tells her they all deserve a second chance. She hesitates for a moment, then nods and says okay, and he asks, Okay? and she nods again. Cut to a two-shot of them as they look at each other awkwardly, in an incredibly cute, awkward moment.

1x04 - "Walkabout"
At the beginning, there's just a quick bit where Jack and everyone is gathering around the fuselage to see what's making the noise, and right as Kate is waking up Jack moves past her and puts out a hand to keep her back so she won't get hurt.

Jack and Kate are walking together and discussing her latest expedition to go boar hunting, and Jack asks why she always signs up to go on a hike when there is one. He says she knows what's out there, and she replies that actually, she doesn't, and neither does he. They briefly talk about Locke, who is going on the hunting trip with her and Michael, and she says he seems to know what he's doing, though Jack is suspicious of anyone who packs a suitcase full of knives on the plane. Kate gives the best shipper line to date (though it does seem a bit forward this early in the game) with "If I didn't know better, I'd think you were worried about me, Jack." Jack responds with a harsher, "If I didn't know better, I'd think you have trouble staying in one place for very long, Kate." She tries to hide the guilt on her face as she asks if she wants to tell him why she's really going, and she holds out the tranceiver, which Sayid gave her to try and get a signal for. Jack says this isn't about boar, and she quips, "I'm a vegetarian," before exiting, leaving Jack staring after her with this little grin on his face.

Kate returns from the hunting trip and is talking to Sayid when Jack starts to walk over and calls her name. Sayid excuses himself, and she comes up with a shy smile and says hey. He cups her cheek and examines her face, asking if she's okay, brushing the cut on her face from the boar. She asks if he's going to say I told you so, and he replies he's not one to rub it in. He starts to walk around her, but she reaches out and touches his shoulder, stopping him, and tells him Locke is gone, because that thing came, and there wasn't time. Jack gets distracted looking at the man in the suit across the island, and runs off to check in the jungle. Kate follows him and Locke appears with the boar.

At the memorial service later that night, Kate is standing quietly as Claire speaks, and Charlie comes up beside Kate. Kate leans back and asks if he's seen Jack, and Charlie says no. Kate looks back at the service, looking somewhat worried, and we cut to Jack sitting by himself far away from the burning fuselage and the service.

1x05 - "White Rabbit"
There is a very quick Jack/Kate interaction when Jack dives into the ocean to save Boone, who is caught in a riptide, and Kate runs up behind Charlie, worried for Jack. When Jack returns with Boone, he passes Boone off to Kate and Charlie, who lead Boone up the beach. Kate shouts Jack's name, and Jack yells that there's still someone in the water.

Jack is walking up the beach, and Kate hurries over to him. Jack is feeling guilty about not being able to save the woman he went after after bringing Boone back. He insists that he didn't try. Kate tries to comfort him, but he won't be dissuaded. Over her shoulder, he sees the man in the suit standing in the surf down the beach. He asks Kate if she saw that, the man in the water, and the look of disbelief on her face is absolutely perfect. She asks him how long it's been since he's slept, and he leaves, confused.

At the very end of the episode, the last scene, Jack is sitting alone by the campfire after the water fiasco, and Kate comes up quietly and hands him a glass of water. He thanks her, and she says, "So where were you today, Jack?" with a little smile on her face. He replies that he had to take care of some things, and she seems a bit put off by this answer, smiling and saying, "That's all I'm gonna get, huh?". He does a 180 on her and replies, "My father died. In Sydney." Open mouth, insert foot. Kate says that she's sorry, and Jack says he is too. They sit quietly together by the campfire.

1x06 - "House of the Rising Sun"
This episode is chock full of kick-arse J/K moments, so here we go: To begin, the opening scene of the episode is the cutest. Scene. Ever. Kate is inquiring about Jack's tattoos while she zips up his backpack (as he's wearing it) full of water bottles. They are flirting so much my TV threatened to break from cuteness. When she reaches to his stomach to buckle the backpack straps, their faces get thisclose to kissing! The backpack becomes the new J/K mascot. Charlie interrupts by saying if they're done "verbally copulating", they should get a move on. As they're leaving, Kate grins and tells Charlie to ask Jack about his tattoos. Charlie snarks that they have an inside joke. How absolutely wonderful for them both.

Running from bees that Charlie oh-so-stupidly set free by kicking the hive, wtf?, Jack and Kate escape to the caves ripping their shirts off. Yup. Shirtless!Kate is panting and leans against one of the rocks only to gasp upon finding a decaying skeleton there. Shirtless!Jack comes over and examines it, and both seem a tiny bit oblivious to the fact that they're standing there with no shirts on, Jack bare-chested and Kate in her bra. Um, okay. Locke and Charlie stumble in and Charlie returns Kate's shirt. She says it was full of bees, and he goes, "I would've thought C's, actually." She gives him a Look, and Jack looks away, trying veryvery hard not to laugh. Charlie apologizes.

Jack comes up with the brilliant idea of living in the caves to have access to fresh water, and Kate seems a bit put off by the idea. Moving on.

Jack and Kate are walking back to camp through the jungle, Kate walking ahead of Jack, and they stop so she can tie her shoe. She bends over to tie it, and glances back at Jack, who is staring at her. She goes, "Are you checking me out?" Jack, to his credit, looks like he really was looking her in the eye, but whatever. He says what?, and she says, "No harm in it," and he goes, "Believe me, if I were checking you out, you'd know it." Really? Whatever you say, Jack. She demands to know what he was thinking, right now, with this adorable I've-got-you-now smile on her face, and Jack starts in about digging a dam around the caves so people can get the water more easily. Kate's smile fades, and as they set off again with Jack commenting about how they have a lot of convincing to do, she says he still hasn't convinced her yet. They exchange an odd look I can't really read, but whatever.

They talk to Sayid, who gets pissed about moving to the caves and stomps off. Kate grimaces at Jack, and tells Sayid it is the only source of fresh water, so at this point it seems Kate is still neutral about moving to the caves.

Jack tells Hurley he's glad Hurley is coming along, and Hurley says, "So what's up with you and Kate? You guys gonna move into a cave together or what?" Jack gets a stupid grin on his face and says, "I'm sorry, am I in high school?" Hurley asserts that that wasn't a denial, and Jack brushes it off and tells him to just get his stuff together.

Kate sits alone on the beach, and Jack comes up and says it's almost time to go. She doesn't look at him and says she doesn't want to be Eve. Jack sort of laughs and says no one is asking her to. He tries to tell her someone else can stay on the beach and patrol or whatever, it doesn't have to be her. She says that's not it, and he asks what it is, then. She doesn't answer. Jack sighs and asks her how she got to be like this, what exactly it is that she did. She returns that he had his chance to know. Jack gives up and tells her if she needs him, she knows where to find him. He leaves her alone, and she says to herself, "You know where to find me, too."

Montage of the evening: Jack tending the fire at the caves, looks up at the night sky to show he's thinking about...Kate! as we fade into her with the same faraway stare in her eyes at the beach. That was so cliche and painful. But, it's J/K, so it's excusable.

1x07 - "The Moth"
The cave Jack was in as Charlie has a fit collapses, and Charlie runs off to get help. Hurley yells behind him to "Make sure you tell Kate!"

Sawyer is being an arse to Kate, bothering her about Jack, and comments they aren't that different, and if he'd survived a few weeks longer, she would've figured that out. Kate stands up with look that is half ready to strangle Sawyer and half OMGWTF. Sawyer says Jack got himself buried in a cave, and she tosses the firecracker at him and takes off.

Jack gets stuck in a cave. He and Charlie, who went in to rescue him, manage to find a way, and Kate looks up from her place by the caves where she's been tunneling like mad forever, and sort of stumbles toward him like she can't quite believe he's there and collapses in his arms. He holds her tightly, laughing a little and saying to be careful, his shoulder, which was out of its joint in the caves. And I melt in front of the television screen at OMG TEH HUG *SQUEE*.

Fireside at the caves. Closeup on Jack looking pensive, when a piece of cloth slips over his head and he looks up and laughs. Kate kneels beside him and says she made him something, and he comments it's his very first sling. She teases him about these being the oh-so-safe caves he was going on about, and he says Michael gave the rest an okay. He says she's going back to the beach, and indeed she is. He looks like he wants to say something more, but instead goes with "Thanks for the sling, Kate." She says you're welcome in this breathy, fragile voice that makes me want to give her a hug and assure her Jack loves her, he just doesn't know it yet. Awwww.

1x08 - "Confidence Man"
The general opinion is that Sawyer is hoarding Shannon's asthma medicine and won't give it up. Jack comes to the beach and demands Sawyer's attention, and they're about to go at it when Kate comes in and breaks it up. She glares at Sawyer and goes after Jack, saying that killing him won't help them get the medicine. Jack: "Maybe not, but it'll feel good!" Atta boy, Jack! She tells Jack to let her talk to Sawyer, and Jack asks what makes her think he'll talk to her. She says Sawyer says they have a connection. Um, awkwardness much? Jack finally looks at her and says in this adorably high-pitched voice, "Do you?" She returns with "Please," though I'm not sure if that's supposed to be 'Please, as if,' or 'Please, let me talk to him'. Hmm. Anyway.

This next moment directly affects J/K, which is why I'm forced to include it, and admittedly, Ilikeditanditwasreallyreallyhotokay? Don't kill me, please. Sawyer is tied to a tree after being tortured by Sayid with Jack standing by, and Kate comes up since Sawyer said the only person he'd tell where the medicine was was her. He says as soon as he gets that kiss, he'll tell her. She's pissed, but ultimately agrees after Sawyer says she's going to let that girl die because she can't bring herself to kiss him. She kneels in front of him and leans in to kiss him, and they....make out for a good ten to fifteen seconds. She goes back in three times to keep kissing him, guys. And it's hot. And I feel terrible for being really into this kiss scene. Anyway.

Sawyer is an arse and gets himself stabbed by Sayid, and Jack is holding the wound while Kate holds Sawyer down, and Sawyer tells Jack to let go. To Kate he says they already made out, what else has he got to live for? Jack is staring at Kate at this comment, until Saywer shifts the snark to him.

1x09 - "Solitary"
After Sawyer mouths off to Jack, Jack leaves him to change his own bandages and finds Kate on the beach, worrying about Sayid. Jack thinks he left to find the French transmission; Kate says it's because of what happened, what he did. Jack says it was an accident, and Kate shoots back that accidents happen when you torture people. Jack says Sayid can take care of himself.

Jack is golfing on the course Hurley built when Kate comes up and asks playfully if there's a ladies time. They walk off to be by themselves as they talk and Kate says she almost didn't recognize him, as he was smiling. Jack grins and says he has to watch that. He explains that Hurley built the course and gets everyone to calm down so easily while Jack makes himself crazy trying to.

Jack's golfing and has one more hole to sink, and people start betting for him. Sawyer comes up and makes everyone very uncomfortable, and bets against Jack. Kate takes the bet, as does Boone, and Jack takes the shot. We don't see if he makes it or not.

1x10 - "Raised By Another"
Jack and Kate are pretty scarce this episode; it's worth noting that Kate breaks up an argument between Charlie and Jack about whether or not Claire is hallucinating. Kate also helps Jack out briefly at the caves when Sayid returns.

1x11 - "All the Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues"
Jack is annoyed with Locke on the hike for Charlie and Claire, and she asks to speak to him alone. She wants Jack to give Locke some space, and he is so upset about not believing Claire that he can barely see straight. Kate proves to be a bit of a tracker herself, and she and Jack split from Locke and Boone to follow two separate trails.

Jack and Kate are traipsing through the jungle, Kate begging Jack to slow down which you can take in so many different directions *cough*, and he asks how she became such a good tracker, wants her to tell him something real. She says her and her dad used to go hunting in Washington because her dad was in the army or something. Which doesn't make sense because she was from Canada, and isn't she a vegetarian? Whatever. She tells him that's real, and asks if there's anything he'd like to share - in yo' face, Jackster.

Jack blacks out after duking it out with Ethan; he comes to and Kate is basically all over him, touching his face and trying to get him to calm the frick down before he goes off running again, which, he does. Sigh.

In the Saddest Most Heart-Stopping Scene Ever, Jack and Kate attempt to rescusitate a way dead-looking Charlie, and once Kate gets up and just breaks down in tears, I am pretty much a lost cause for the rest of the episode. Tears flowed here, guys. Jack keeps pounding Charlie's chest, and Kate tries to make him stop when it's not working, and Jack refuses to quiet and Kate starts crying all over again and I am dead from sadness. Oh, man. This is one awesome scene.

1x12 - "Whatever the Case May Be"
Kate and Sawyer's Day Out. Kate is climbing trees, looking for food, whatever, and she finds Sawyer stalking follwing her for her own protection. They stumble upon a lagoon and go for a swim; on the way, they encounter some bodies from the plane at the bottom of the lagoon and Kate enlists Sawyer to help her excavate a metal briefcase from below the bodies. When they resurface, Sawyer calls her on the briefcase not being hers, and he takes it, as she tries to play off like it doesn't matter to her. Liar liar, pants on fire!

Kate sits alone by the fire, contemplating. What, I don't know. She watches Sawyer walk by in a weird slow-mo shot with the case, and he disappears in his Tent of Lurve. Flashback! to Kate at a bank, opening an account with the bank manager. Her name is Maggie Ryan, and she introduces herself as a photographer for a coffee table book. The weird thing is, I actually kind of buy it. Unfortunately for the bank manager, who is crushing on her, robbers burst in the bank and start taking over the place. Uh-ohs.

Back at the island, Kate sneaks into the tent and sees sleeping!Sawyer with the case between his knees. She tries to grab it and run, but he wakes and gets her by the wrists, pulling her down on top of him. After some innuendo, she head-butts him and wrenches free, then leaves when he refuses to hand over the case.

Sawayer keeps trying to crack open the case, but he sucks and it doesn't work. He drops it from a bunch of trees, amd when he is twenty feet off the ground Kate rushes in and grabs it. Chase ensues. He finally tackles her, she head-butts him again, and he still has the freaking case. This whole tackling gag? Less amusing now. Kate flashes back to the bank, where some customer tackles one of the robbers and his gun goes flying to land in front of Kate. She picks it up shakily and points it, claiming she doesn't know how to use a gun. The robber drags her into the back room, where he rips off his mask, she giggles coyly, and they make out.

Back at the caves, Kate approaches Jack about opening the case, which, according to her, has four nine-millimeter guns in it. She says the key was buried with the Marshall. Jack looks really peeved at the notion of digging up some guy. However, he agrees on the condition that they open the case together once they have the key.

Kate flashback - Mr. Robber drags Maggie back out to the bank and threatens to kill he r unless the manager hands over the key. Which he does. Idiot.

Kate and Jack dig. Like the song! Dig, dig dig. You know, from Pocahontas. Look, this is the only way I'm gonna get through this long-arse recap, okay? Anyway, after digging and coughing and omghesmellsewewew Kate gets the wallet out of the back pocket, then promptly drops it when it's all infested-like. Jack picks it up and announces the lack of key. Kate acts surprised, but Jack ain't the dumb, sweetheart, and he makes her hand over the key she palmed.

Jack gets the case from Sawyer. Blah, Sawyer.

Kate flashback: At the vault, Kate is revealed to have set the whole thing up. Um, like we didn't know that. CAUSE YOU TOLD US AND ALL. Anyway. The manager is sad. Cry. The robber wants to shoot the manager, so Kate does a backflip (not really) and grabs a gun from Dumb Accomplice #1. She shoots the robber in the leg, then shoots everybody else 'cept the manager to get into the vault. She takes out a tiny box and removes a tiny package. Not cash. Not diamonds. Just a paper bag package. Sigh. Kate, you are the worst criminal ever.

Kate and Jack at the caves. Jack opens the case to, surprise! Guns. Toldja. He also pulls out a little package, and hands it to her. She pulls out...a toy airplane. Wow, that was anticlimactic. Jack gets mad when she says he wouldn't understand, then manhandles her into telling him that it "belonged to the man I loved. It belonged to the man I killed!" She drops to the ground, crying. Jack is evil and leaves. I have nothing else snarky to say because this scene is really emotional and well-acted and Evangeline Lilly rocks my socks.

Kate sits alone by the campfire, staring at the plane.

1x13 - "Hearts and Minds"
Jack is watching Kate gather little seed things. He looks really when he's being sneaky. This scene is very nice, because it's tense in the way that they're kind of careful around each other after the huge blow-up they had last episode, but they're also completely and totally into each other and it's so obvious *squee*! Okay. Right. So, Kate leads Jack to the garden she and Sun have been building. Jack talks loud in hopes Sun will understand. Idiot.

Kate and Sun are in the garden, and Kate jokes about an entirely fake reason for getting on the plane, expecting Sun not to understand. However, Sun laughs too and Kate realizes she understood every word she said. Oops. Sun begs Kate to keep her mouth shut.

Sun and Kate talk, and when prompted as to why she won't tell her husband, Sun asks Kate if she's ever lied to the man she loved. Actually, now that you mention it...

1x14 - "Special">
Kate is in this episode like, once. With Sawyer. Moving on.

1x15 - "Homecoming"
Kate walks up to Jack and says he looks hungry, which is really, really odd. Anyway, she tosses him an apple and says Locke told the beachgoers what happened with Claire. She suggests using the marshal's case with the guns in it to protect themselves against Ethan, and Jack flatly refuses. Idiot.

Jack has handed out the guns after he realizes Kate was right, and he, Locke, Sayid, and Sawyer get guns. Kate doesn't. Even though it was her idea and she knows how to use a gun quite well, thank you very much, and I'm betting she can handle one better than Jack. Sawyer, however, hands her the gun he picked off the marshal way back when. In yo' face, Jackers.

1x16 - Outlaws
Kate and Sawyer. During a game of I Never, Kate reveals she was married. "It didn't last very long." She also lets go that she's been in love and she's killed someone. I think this is important in how Jack and Kate's relationship develops, which is why I'm telling you. Moving on.

1x17 - In Translation
Again with the lack of these two. Argh.

1x18 - Numbers
Kate talks to Sun. Jack goes with the men on a jungle adventure. Yawn.

1x19 - Deus Ex Machina
Sawyer needs glasses! Hee. Now that that's out of the way...okay, toward the beginning of the episode, Kate notices Sawyer's been having bad headaches and approaches Jack about helping him. Jack refuses, knowing all he'll get out of trying to help Sawyer is a new nickname. Hah! However, Jack finally agrees and starts to question Sawyer on his medical history. Sawyer gets pissed when they get to the sexual bits with Kate right there in the cave, cause she'll never sleep with him now! At the end, Jack gives Sawyer glasses, and Kate thanks Jack for helping Sawyer. Jack says, "I didn't do it for him." WOOT.
