Anna Friel is in final talks and Paul Rudd has committed to star in the dark comedy Cordless, says Production Weekly. The film, scheduled to shoot late this summer in New York, will be the directorial debut of screenwriter Oren Moverman.
Cordless is the tale of spiritual rebirth in contemporary New York. The film follows Friel and Rudd, a young couple struggling to conceive a child in a Manhattan apartment building in which the concept of neighborly love veers toward voyeurism.
The cast also includes Steve Buscemi, Malcolm McDowell, Fisher Stevens, and Michael Buscemi.
