HOLLYWOOD (Zap2it.com) - - Phoebe, the least lucky in love of all the characters on "Friends," will get another chance at romance this season. Paul Rudd ("Clueless," "Wet Hot American Summer" ) will play Phoebe's (Lisa Kudrow) love interest over the course of several episodes this season. Alas, since Rudd will only be around for a few shows, it may mean that Phoebe will once again have her heart broken.

Rudd can currently be seen in the independent movie "The Chateau." His other credits include "200 Cigarettes" and "The Object of My Affection," in which he co-starred with Friend Jennifer Aniston.

"Friends" begins its ninth, and probably its final, season Thursday, Sept. 26. The episode, titled "The One Where No One Proposes," sorts out Rachel's mistaken impression that Joey (Matt LeBlanc) proposed to her after she had her baby in last season's finale.
